COMMUNITY GUIDE 2026
Chamber brings business, community together
From festivals to downtown traditions, the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry helps bring the community together through a full calendar of popular events. The Chamber organizes many signature gatherings, including Party in the Park, Art in the Park and Taste of Monticello during Riverfest, its annual golf tournament in May, Downtown Trickor-Treating in the fall, and the annual Chamber banquet each December, where local businesses and leaders are recognized.
In addition to its large community events, the Chamber hosts monthly business luncheons and networking opportunities, along with other recurring programs that support professional development and relationship-building among members.
Beyond events, the Chamber continues its mission of supporting, serving and enhancing all business sectors in the Monticello area. It works to strengthen communication among business, industry, schools, government, service organizations and residents, helping align efforts and make the most of shared resources.
The Chamber represents a broad base of businesses— from corporate and industrial manufacturers to small, home-based, service and professional enterprises— and works to accomplish what no single business can do alone. Its Young Professionals Monticello group serves as an offshoot of the Chamber, creating social, networking and leadership opportunities for emerging professionals in the community.
The Chamber is led by Executive Director Deb Meyer and Business Development Director Kristina Eich, with guidance from a 12-member board of directors. While staff and board
leadership provide direction, the organization is driven by its members, whose involvement fuels programs, advocacy and events throughout the year.
Monticello Royal Ambassadors
The Chamber also sponsors the Monticello Royal Ambassador Program, which gives three young ladies an opportunity to represent Monticello as community ambassadors for a year. Avarie Metcalf, Ella Moran and Lily Montgomery, above, were chosen to represent the city in 2025-26.
