FUN WITH
GRAY
The color of the stair
runner, seen from the
entryway, ties in with the
dining room colors. “There
are a lot of grays and
neutrals in the home, and
then you turn around and
there are pops of color,”
says Toledo. (Above) The
living room leads to the
sunroom, which for the
“foreseeable future” is a kid’s
playroom. The bench with
the striped fabric on top
is for toy storage. (Right)
The former kitchen was
functional, but blah. Toledo
had the base cabinets
refinished in a deep gray,
and the upper ones sprayed
in a brighter white. She also
changed the countertops to
a quartz composite, and the
backsplash to thick fish-
scale ceramic tiles.
