The amount of resources available on campus that are completely free to use! I had no idea that there was even a dentist on campus. I wish I knew to utilize those resources in order to save money.

Among the most important things I learned during my freshman year, there is one that I wish someone had told me sooner. If you have surrounded yourself with people who don’t reflect who you are, you can easily feel lost. Life is too short to spend time with people who drive you crazy. At a university like UNT there are so many diverse personalities and you are bound to find your crew among them.
As a freshman, one thing that I wish someone would have told me is that things don't always work out the way you think they will. I did things that high school me never expected. I made friendships that will last a lifetime and some that won't last past next week. I invested time and money into things that will bear no fruit. I have seen wonderful things happens just because I was in the right place at the right time. I did things that seemed easy at the start but quickly became difficult. I have had conversations that would scare most people but now it seems like it was just a small chat.
