THANKSGIVING DAY Mashed Sweet Potatoes

INGREDIENTS 4 c . ( 34-oz ) yams , mashed 1 / 2 c . milk 1 / 3 c . butter 1 tsp . vanilla 1c . reg . sugar 2 eggs , well beaten
On the side : 1c . nuts , chopped 1 / 2 c . butter 1 / 2 c . flour 3 / 4 c . packed brown sugar
INSTRUCTIONS Mix together mashed yams , 1 / 2 c . milk , 1 / 3 c . butter , vanilla , 1 c . reg . sugar and eggs . Mix well and let stand 1 1 / 2 hours .
Then : 1c . nuts , chopped 1 / 2 c . butter 1 / 2 c . flour 3 / 4 c . packed brown sugar
Combine nuts ( pecans or your favorite ), 1 / 2 c . butter , flour and brown sugar in a bowl . Crumble on top of yams in a casserole dish . Bake at 350 for 35 minutes .
