The Chamber recently held a mixer at the new Samters Lofts in downtown Scranton.
Attendees had the opportunity to view renovations being made to this historic
building by current owner Admiral Management Services LLC. The Samters Lofts are
set to open in Spring 2018.
The Chamber held its inaugural
Cocktails and Conversation,
sponsored by Fidelity Bank, at
Constantino’s in Clarks Summit.
Appreciation Day
The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual Member
Appreciation Day, which celebrates and thanks Chamber members for being a part of
the organization. Food and refreshments were donated from more than 30 Chamber
member businesses and more than 200 Chamber members attended this event.
The Chamber held a Meet Up for
Lunch at Sibio’s in Dunmore.
The Chamber would like to express its condolences to the family of the late
Congressman Joseph McDade, pictured far right.
“Congressman Joe McDade was truly an iconic figure in
northeastern Pennsylvania,” said Chamber President Bob Durkin.
“Be it business development, higher education, healthcare,
transportation, tourism and more, he did more than
just bring home federal funding -- he helped shape the
economic, social and cultural landscape of our region.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.”
The Chamber recently
welcomed Kaleigh
Barr, a senior strategic
communications major at
The University of Scranton,
as the communications
department’s intern for the
fall semester.
