Leadership Lackawanna has once again been approved by
the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic
Development as an Educational Improvement Organization
participating in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit
program after meeting certain criteria and developing an
“innovative educational program” not currently part of the
academic program of a public school. Four specifi c areas of
the Tomorrow’s Leaders Today program were approved as
“innovative educational programs” — Crimes and Corrections
Day, Health Care Day, History and Heritage Day and STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Day. Both Fidelity
Bank and NBT Bank recently presented checks to Leadership
Lackawanna in support of these efforts.
