FEMA National Flood Insurance Program
To file a claim with the National Flood Insurance Program, you must follow a three-step process that includes
notifying your insurer to start the claims process, documenting the damage, and completing a Proof of Loss to
support your claim.
To purchase flood insurance for protection against future flooding events, you must purchase flood insurance
through an insurance agent or insurer participating in the National Flood Insurance Program. To find an agent
participating in the National Flood Insurance Program, contact the NFIP Referral Call Center at 1-800-427-4661.
The National Flood Insurance Program provides affordable insurance to property owners and by encouraging
communities to adopt and enforce floodplain management regulations. The City of League City is a participant
