By: Tammy Dowdy Director of Communications Dickinson ISD By the time a Dickinson High School student reaches graduation, he or she has had limitless opportunities to leave high school with a portfolio of experiences designed to enhance college or career choices. Many graduates will go on to attend college and further explore and gain additional education for career choices. Other students will have already earned valuable certifications which allow them to directly enter the workforce with well-paying jobs at little to no cost to the student or his or her family for the training. Career and Technical Education Dickinson ISD has a strong focus on Career and Technical Education with an endless list of hands-on opportunities and classes students can pursue. During the 2017-2018 school year, 75 percent of DHS students were enrolled in at least one Career and Technical Education course.
