Manager
John Baumgartner
John Baumgartner was appointed city manager for League City
during a City Council meeting on Feb. 14, 2017.
We recently sat down with him to discuss his new role and
what he sees as his top priorities as he jumps into the position.
Q: What do you love about League City? What excites
you most about this position?
A: League City is my home, my family lives here and I am proud
to serve this community. I am humbled by the faith, confidence
and support council has bestowed upon me and we will continue
to work together to implement the vision of our community.
My mantra is – here to serve, happy to help. Everyday provides
a unique opportunity to
serve, make a difference
and help people make
our
community
a
wonderful place to
grow a family. I’m a problem solver who has dedicated my career
to public service because I enjoy our ability to directly impact
communities.
I look forward to working with City Council, our citizens, staff, and
our many business and community partners to continue to make
League City great.
