PRODUCTIVITY 101
Incorporating Simple Changes that are both easy to do
AND easy not to do.
De-Cluttering Your Life Increases Your Productivity & Profit
During the everyday shuffle of life from balancing checks,
businesses, and family our lives can become disorganized and
cluttered. Valuable seconds are lost due to the misplacement of
keys, important contracts being lost amongst a pile of disarray,
or simple errors are made simply due to disorganization that may
have cost you a potential client or income. Here are a few tips
to assist you with de-cluttering your workspace and hopefully
increasing your productivity as well as your profit:
1. There is a space and time for everything.
a. Designate a space for your office and important
paperwork.
b. Invest in storage and shelving equipment and
properly label each.
c. Allocate a specific time each day to tackle your
work related tasks.
d. Delegate tasks to family members, hire assistance,
or outsource if needed.
2. Loose the clutter
a. Junk mail should be discarded after two weeks.
b. Create a receipt filing system for all business related
expenses
Ex. A clear shoe box sized container labeled
quarterly and insert envelopes for each
category. Business related categories could
include: Travel, Uniform, Business Meetings,
etc.
c. Discard calendars, phone books, business cards
There are several phone apps that a client
can download that will scan business cards
and important documents. My personal
recommendation is www.dropbox.com.
d. Purchase a dry erase or magnetic board to display
all important dates, information or paperwork.

not see.”
