BayG.A.P. SERVICE PROGRAM MODULE 1 INTRO SITE HISTORY AND SITE MANAGEMENT One of the key features of sustainable farming is the continuous aggregation and integration of site-specific knowledge and practical experiences into future farming planning and implementation. This section is intended to ensure that all processes concerning the land, buildings and other facilities, which constitute the infrastructure of the farm, are properly managed to safeguard food quality and protect the environment. Building on the principles of Good Agricultural Practice, Site History and Site Management is an all farm embracing approach that is based on essential documentation, change and management towards the better. It is practical and achievable for farmers, appreciated by consumers and is considered essential for government and NGOs for the responsible use of CPPs throughout the world. Hence, History and Site Management provides an adequate foundation to define relevant facets of G.A.P. and how to manage them. 2
