The top dancers of Compania Tangueros del Sur revived
authentic performances with complicated footwork and
dynamics. Their dance, Romper el Piso is a rare choreo-
graphic concept that presents the magical evolution of
tango. The dancers are accompanied by the Evocacion
Plus orchestra under the direction and orchestration of
the Argentine conductor, Patricio Villarejo. The music in-
cluded many of the great names, such as Carlos Gardel,
Juan D’Arienzo, Anibal Troilo, José María Contursi, and
the revolutionary radical, Astor Piazzolla.
