coincided with the dawn of a new industry.“ Like a lot of things in life, my career path has been shaped by certain people and timing,” she reflects. She started her career as a litigator at a regional law firm in the Midwest.“ I moved to San Francisco just as Lyft was searching for someone to help shape auto litigation defense and insurance strategies.”
That decision put her in the center of a fastmoving company, where she built legal strategy alongside growing legal teams.“ My background fit, and we hit the ground running during a hyper-growth startup phase. Transportation Network Company litigation and legislation were brand new and unfamiliar to most attorneys and judges at the time,” she notes.
“ Moving at that speed forces you to grow quickly as both a legal strategist and an operational leader. And moving from outside counsel to in-house changed everything. At the same time, Morgan’ s team adopted better systems and tools. Data and automation began to reshape how they worked.“ We keep adding better data tools and automation to reduce busywork. That lets our team focus on high-value, impactful oversight instead of getting bogged down in administrative tasks,” she explains.
“ In such a fast-paced corporate environment, AI is streamlining operations, whether that means automating the initial categorization of incoming data, accelerating toward key milestones, or routing tasks to the appropriate team members based on pre-set operational rules.” At present, the team is focused on identifying ways to apply AI that reduce manual work and improves how tasks move through the organization, treating it as an evolving effort rather than a fixed solution.
Morgan sees technology as a tool that requires careful use in litigation.“ We’ ve all seen AI backfire in litigation, such as with ghost citations or other issues. Using AI in
