Dan’ s near-term priorities are more evolutionary than transformational.“ Most of the priorities are a continuation of what we’ ve been working on. There’ s also an ongoing focus on improving how we work, whether that’ s through better coordination or more effective use of tools.
“ My definition of success has shifted from focusing primarily on technical accuracy to focusing more on outcomes. Getting the answer right is still important, but what matters more now to me is whether the advice is practical, does it help the business move forward, and is the team developing in the process,” Dan concludes.
Maintaining momentum means deliberately stepping back. Time spent exercising or relaxing with his partner and their five cats provides a sense of distance from day-to-day decisions. The separation allows him to return with a clearer focus, with judgment shaped as much by reflection as by experience. ■
