“ A unique background is an asset,” Armeen says, drawing on that belief in how she approaches her work and mentors others.“ My path through journalism, my time studying in Argentina, the yearly trips to visit family in India, the pro bono immigration work- none of it felt like a conventional in-house legal career in the making. That same philosophy informs how she approaches accountability.“ Mistakes are inevitable, and how you respond to them matters far more than the mistake itself. If I get something wrong, I own it. Accountability is not a performance of self-criticism; it is a practice of learning and moving forward.”
Over time, her definition of success has shifted.“ Early in my career, success looked a lot like achievement. I measured cases won, milestones reached, and credentials earned,” Armeen says.
That perspective changed with a new role outside of work.“ Becoming a mother changed everything,” she says.“ I have a young daughter, and I’ m deeply conscious that I am her first window into what it means to be a woman in this world, and I take that responsibility with pride.”
