The dreaded toe strike , heel strike debacle

In any shoe review you read online you will read the line foot strike and how the shoe helps you get it right . But what is right ? We all want to get it right to avoid injury , but words don ’ t often convey the meaning . A visual aid makes so much more sense , so lucky for you , we found TikTok Creator Sage Canaday has plenty of tips to help you run with really cool visual aids .
This video looks at how runners who are scared of striking down on the heel , instead do a forced toe strike , which can lead to a calf injury . His tip is to focus on landing under the body , using your hips so you are using your ‘ midfoot ’, or ‘ whole foot ’ in your stride .

Motivation

We all hit that block in our training where motivation is hard . You want to keep going but it seems so far to get there , or just so hard to keep going . We came across TikTok creator Zandi Bella whose reel just made us stop . The caption , “ I just beat me . My competition is the girl I was yesterday ,” is so authentic . It made us realise that the only person you need to compete with is yourself , if you are better than you were yesterday then you are winning . That includes listening to you and understanding what your body is telling you .
