ROADSHOW KICKS OFF!

T

t’s time for the highly anticipated Comrades Marathon Roadshow! The CMA has
been hosting this annual runner-empowering initiative for over a decade now,
presenting running workshops all over the country to inform runners about all
things running-related in the lead-up to the world’s biggest and best ultra-marathon.

The Roadshow programme has grown in popularity and is hosted at various running clubs
nationwide, and the CMA’s marketing team, headed by Thami Vilakazi, will present a series of 19
workshops across South Africa, covering all nine provinces. The Roadshow goes hand in hand
with the CMA’s training programmes from Comrades Coach Lindsey Parry to get runners ready
for peak performance on race day, and he will be on hand, along with other experts in the field
of running and motivation, to share valuable advice with the runners who attend.
As Thami says, “The CMA understands that the Comrades Marathon is a tough race and
many runners do not have access to basic training methods and other know-how to prepare
themselves for race day. The Roadshow is therefore a great help to many.”
