Comrades Marathon winner Arthur Newton
from another five-time winner, and the oldest
surviving winner of the race, Jackie Mekler,
who was there on behalf of the Road Runners
Club in the UK to present the bicycle to the
Comrades Marathon Museum. Jackie also
presented the museum with three magnificent
pennants which were awarded to Arthur by

the Comrades Marathon Museum with this

Rand Athletic Club, who was instrumental in
getting the bicycle shipped to South Africa.
