The most noticeable
thing about these Merino
wool/Endurofil/nylon
combo running socks
is the double-thickness
cushioning pads under
the heel (and wrapping
the ankle) as well as
under the ball of the
foot (and wrapping up the sides of
the forefoot). While the rest of the sock is light and
highly breathable, these thicker sections provide not only cushioning
on landing, but also extra padding in high-wear areas where shoes
put the most pressure on your feet, the ankle grip and forefoot
upper. I found this really made my feet feel super-comfy on the run,
because they were cushioned and protected, but still had the benefit

Storm Wash In Waterproofer
With wet winters having returned to the Cape,
I look for good waterproofing from my clothing
when I head out, especially on the mountain
