If you have a sweet tooth , and like the idea of being rewarded for your running with some chocolate , then the third annual Beyers Greenstone Run incorporating the Central Gauteng Athletics 5km Championships is the race for you ! Taking place on Sunday 24 March at Stoneridge Centre , Greenstone , the race comprises of 5km and 8km race distances , with a prize purse of R20,000 for the elite runners and age group contenders , and chocolate medals for all finishers !
The registration fee for both the 5km and 8km distances is R190 for ASA-licensed athletes , while unlicensed athletes must pay an additional R30 for a temporary license . The first 1800 entries will receive a race T-shirt , plus there will be goodie bags for all entrants . Entries available on a first come , first served basis , and take note that no substitutions will be allowed .
