Rand Road Warriors and Staminogro are excited to host you at this year ’ s edition of the Edenvale Marathon , which will feature a slightly changed format and a fun theme !
What : StaminoGro Edenvale Marathon , 15km Blitz , 5km Sprint & 5km Fun Run Where : Edenvale High School , Linksfield Road , Edenvale , Johannesburg , Gauteng When : Sunday , 3 March 2024
Run to the Beat is the theme of the 32nd edition of the Edenvale Marathon , which will look a bit different to previous years . The route of the marathon is the same as last year , as is the 5km route , but our 15km Blitz , which was normally hosted in July , has been moved to this event , and will follow the first 12km of the marathon route before splitting off to return to the school . Also , in an attempt to make running more inclusive , not only is there the 5km fun run , but also a 5km Sprint . This event has been added for those who wish to challenge themselves over a shorter distance timed race , and there is prize money for this event , too .
The Edenvale Marathon is an official qualifier for both the Two Oceans and Comrades Marathons . Marathon qualifying times will be calculated on a mat-to-mat basis , and athletes will need to download and submit their times to Comrades and Two Oceans .
Our gracious sponsor , StaminoGro , is on board again this year , along with John Dory ’ s Greenstone , which has donated meal vouchers for some of the category winners . Another long-time supporter is Edenvale High School , which has again been so kind as to avail their fields for the event .
Rand Road Warriors and StaminoGro have always used this event to help the local community as well as some very deserving charities . This year the beneficiary charities are Rysky , a community feeding scheme , Tree of Hope , an organisation that takes in abandoned babies , and Rainbows and Smiles , who assist childhood cancer patients .

Marathon : R280 ( Late Entries : R330 ) 15km Blitz : R250 ( Late Entries : R300 ) 5km Sprint : R100 ( Late Entries : R120 ) 5km Fun Run / Walk : R80 ( Late Entries : R100 ) BONUS : The first 500 entries each in the Marathon and 15km races will receive a T-shirt !

This will be at the Edenvale Bowling Club ( 170 6th Avenue ) on the dates below , and the cash bar and kitchen will be open , so you are more than welcome to have something to eat or drink when collecting your entry :
• Thursday 29 February – 10am to 6pm
• Friday 01 March – 10am to 6pm
• Saturday 02 March – 10am to 4pm
