The Experience : An action-packed weekend in George saw Ryan Sandes and Sylvie Scherzinger claim victories at the first ever UTMB World Series event in Africa , winning the men ’ s and women ’ s 100-Miler distance titles at the inaugural Mountain Ultra Trail ( MUT ) by UTMB . A successful weekend of racing saw 1450 trail runners take to the mountains around George in one of the six distances on offer , from 10km to 100 miles , and they were treated to a wintery wonderland of typically wet George conditions , with a bit of frost in the morning to add a few goosebumps .
