3 Finishing Position at Designated Competitions
Area Champions , e . g . African Champion , can also qualify for the World Championships , except in the marathon , and / or providing an athlete from the same region doesn ’ t have a higher WA World Ranking points tally in that event . In the case of the marathon , Top five finishers at Platinum Label races held during the qualification period , as well as winners of Gold Label Marathons held in 2023 , could also be considered for selection by WA . In other words , this qualification route is very much determined by performance criteria .
4 Wildcard Entries
