The Experience : The 2022 Muizenberg Trail took place in wet and wild conditions on Saturday 2 July , with a strong north-westerly win bringing a solid dousing of rain as the runners took on the 21km route through the mountains overlooking False Bay . What made this race a little different was that all runners were seeded according to time , with the slowest runners starting first and the fastest runners setting off last . The first to finish was therefore in ‘ the hot seat ’ until someone set a faster time . In the end , Robbie Rorich took the men ’ s title , while Nadine van Driel won the women ’ s race .
