Overall I have found the project to be really insightful for what its like to work within a magazine, working to strict deadlines and also having the knowledge of a magazine layout. I feel pleased with the work I produced and managed to hand it on time.
Throughout the project my knowledge of softwares have grown as ive had more exposure to websites such as thinglink, prezi, emaze, easi.ly and Joomag – all which ill use again.
I’m extremely happy with the work I produced and want to include it as examples of work within my CV.
I felt supported throughout the project by my lecturers, in person and on email and I feel like it really helped me when conducting my work for the project.
I had troubles sticking to the personal deadlines I set for myself with the sketchbook as I was trying to cover everything that happened in each era, which was too much for the time frame I gave myself. I then started getting behind therefore the work quantity ended up decreasing as I felt more stressed.
I loved being able to work independently throughout the project and really felt I was able to plan my time effectively.
If I done this project again I would type up my notes from each lesson straight after and also conduct the activities for each product for the joomag as soon as they were set so didn’t have to familiarise myself with the lesson again.
Also i think my Joomag would of benifited from being in the correct order so it was easier for the examiner to mark my work.
