Although our pop up was a success, there are a few things that I would improve if we were to carry out this project again. Firstly, we could have utilised our personal social media accounts in the run up to our date a bit more to raise more awareness amongst our friends/family/acquaintances, along with the general public.
Secondly, we could have bought more confectionary or made little gift bags to sell at the till- our donuts and cupcakes were successful, but this idea may have been a bit more appealing to the customer and we could have raised some more money. Additionally, I personally felt that the playlist was quite mellow and if we were to do the project again I’d suggest a more upbeat and livelier playlist to brighten the mood.
I can make an environmental change to the planet and fashion retail industry by ensuring all recyclable materials at home and college are put into appropriate recycling bins/banks, getting rid of my unwanted good quality clothes and donating them to charity, buying second hand and repairing before chucking things out and, lastly, thinking long and hard before making a purchase that I don’t necessarily need.
