Protesters are key people who are willing to fight for a more fair and sustainable industry.
The fight against unethical practices is ongoing and they won’t stop any time soon; a couple of examples are the recent protest outside Regent Street’s Canada Goose store for using real animal feathers and harming them in the process and H&M being accused of incinerating 12 tonnes of new, unsold garments per year- although recent news explains that any clothes sent for incineration (although this is ‘rare’ for them) do not meet their safety regulations and were/are not saleable.
Speaking of incineration and the cruel plucking of innocent birds, let’s move onto how the industry has an effect on our planet and the ways we’ve been moving forward in recent years to improve this effect.
