Spencer's jumper

I’ve chosen this garment because it is one of my favourite charity-shop finds. My favourite part are the bell sleeves and it’s a good quality knit that keeps me warm. The top is stylish, a great colour and allows me to accessorise. The last time I wore this garment was last month.

The jumper is made from 73% Acrylic and 27% Polyamide.

Care instructions:

Wash inside out (40 degrees but label reads ‘THINK CLIMATE WASH AT 30 C’

Iron on reverse

This product was made in Turkey. In 2014, the official minimum wage in Turkey was/is 441 Euros per month however many, many garment workers were/still are being paid barely enough to live, at around 300 Euros per month on average.

This is shocking as even though I purchased my item second hand, I know that M&S garments (especially knitwear) are quite expensive compared to the amount that workers get paid in Turkey.
