FAITH IN
THE
FAMILY

Peanut butter and jelly, biscuits and gravy, fishing and summer
afternoons… Some things just go together so easily, it’s like they were
made to go together. Faith and family. Both are important on their
own but they belong together, improving each other and making
lasting impacts.
During the past years, the family has come under an exhaustive
attack: divorce, gay marriage, abuse and the list could go on. I
believe the family is under attack because it is divinely created and it
is the basis to all of society. The family outdates any school,
government, or church, yet it is the first of all of these. It is attacked
because of the power a family of faith has.
I have no children but I am a child that is a product of a family that
practiced it’s faith outside of church. I was taught about scriptures,
about prayer, and Christ-like actions all at a young age in the home
and it continued as I grew. My parents practiced the principles of
Deut. 6:6-9, teaching the Word to their children, diligently, as we rose,
as we sat, as we walked, and as we lay down.
