up close like Haley Williams hop from left to right on the stage, looking like they’ re having a blast and sweeping up the audience just like that; almost unbelievable! So this is that‘ festival feeling’… Seriously, everyone should experience it at least once in their lives, I definitely am hooked for life!!
Spending the rest of the day like this, plus getting something to eat for dinner( hamburgers and fries I believe) at a food stand, we really loved it here. Seeing the Script and the Killers play was our highlight of the day for sure. They were incredible, goose bumps all over the place! One of the many advantages at festivals is that you can do what you want to do and be who you want to be. Either if you’ re a crazy fan girl or a relaxed music-lover or even hippie; nobody judges you( except maybe if you are wearing a Pikachu-outfit, there was actually one girl who really did this, I saw her myself I swear: o). Every single person here comes for one thing only and that’ s having fun and just appreciate all of the good music. And that is exactly what makes festivals so wonderful.
Day Two
Saturday 15th of June
Getting a few hours of sleep( clearly not enough) in our icy-cold tent, after falling asleep to the feeling like you’ re almost freezing to death, we got up to eat some‘ luxurious camping breakfast’ and getting ready to roll again! Stomachs filled with croissants and cookies we began our daily routines of washing, changing clothes, tooth brushing and activities like that. It’ s pretty weird to do this if you don’ t have a bathroom or even sink to use, a bottle of water is as close as you can get. Carrying on! Before we know it’ s time again to go where most of the humans( some beings l ooked like they were from outer space or something, no offense!) food, amusement and music would be.
The second day had a fantastic line-up planned; bands like F. U. N, Passenger, 30 Seconds to Mars and lead act Kings of Leon would play today. And that wasn’ t the complete schedule just yet! Could a lover of music possibly ask for more?! All of the acts we saw were simply amazing and every time the performing band / singer succeeded in making the audience jump, wave and sing( sometimes even scream) along, the voices combined like one.. Time flies when you’ re having so much fun! Except our near-death experience. My god, it was scary as hell!! We were standing on the wrong place at the wrong time. Our plan to stand in front at the Main Stage to wait on 30 Seconds to Mars wasn’ t so smart as it seemed after all … Before we would see fabulous Jared, Shannon & Tomo( especially Jared, am I right ladies?) there would be a show with‘ The Opposites’. For those who have no freaking idea who they are, which is very likely since they aren’ t really known out of Holland, here is a short description. They’ re kind of like rappers, one moment they’ re singing pretty peaceful and calm, the next they are yelling like‘ Get fucking wild and slap some people bitchez!’. And well, that’ s the closest I can get to give you a sort-of idea.. But if you’ re curious about them now( which I highly doubt but okay) you can always look them up on YouTube. Just type something like‘ The Opposites PinkPOP 2013’ or something. Anyway, let’ s get back to the story! All of the sudden these wacky rappers demanded crazy things like‘ mosh-pits
