The African American Student Union ( AASU ) is located on the Cocoa Campus . AASU promotes and encourages academic success , personal and leadership development , the appreciation of cultural exploration , and historical achievements through campus and community engagement .

AASU ’ s membership is open to all currently enrolled EFSC students . Club meetings are held bi-weekly via Microsoft Teams . STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
Jalen Sanders
Jalen is a two-time attendee at the Black , Brown & College Bound Conference . He has served as both treasurer for the Student Government Association and as a Student Ambassador on the Palm Bay Campus . He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and NSLS ( The National Society of Leadership and Success ). Jalen graduated with his Associate in Arts degree in the summer of 2021 with a GPA of 3.5 . He is currently pursuing an Associate in Science degree in Computer Information Technology with an anticipated graduation date of Fall 2022 . He has amassed well over 100 hours of volunteer community service . Jalen hopes to pursue a career in the computer technology field upon graduation .
