CARIBOUND AND
VILLABOUND
What inspired you to first start Rexy
I started investing and learning about digital assets and
crypto currency in 2013 while I was in Law School. I started
working in the Real Estate industry when I was 12 with my
mum and I have always known that it was an industry I was
made for. Blockchain and cloud technologies have enabled
the world to transact value online cross border with unprece-
dented efficiency. The real estate and securities markets are
ready for disruption, it is 2019, we all have very valuable and
powerful technology in the palms of our hands. I see a future
where 1) We all have exponentially greater access to invest-
able assets via technology and 2) Access to global markets.
3.) What are some of the main things you have learned
about being an entrepreneur in Barbados?
Lily Dash
1.) Who is Lily in business (describe yourself) ?
I am a real estate lawyer and real estate and technology
entrepreneur but more than anything I am a champion of de-
velopment for Barbados and The Caribbean.

Ambitious, Bold, Fearless, Persistent.
2.) What inspired you to first start Villabound?
This was the business I dreamt of as a child, an online
travel business with the coolest clients on earth. The dream
was traveling around the Caribbean representing the finest
homes in the region and renting them online. The dream rep-
resented boundless freedom and stylish adventure.
I started my villa rental business when I was 19, honestly,
from a little girl I always wanted to 1) be involved in the luxury
real estate industry and 2) have an online business that was
location independent. I dreamt of traveling the world and I
wanted the freedom to be able to work online from anywhere.
What better way than to create an online luxury real estate
brand.

Villabound is a global business, we work in global mar-
kets, we service over 162 destinations and our clients live
all over the world, from London to LA and everywhere in be-
tween. Your geographic location must not limit you. It is not an
excuse in 2019 when we have never in the history of mankind
been more connected. We are living in a world where the
infrastructure of our time is not tarmacked highways but real
time communication networks. We can be virtually anywhere
in the world at anytime. It is never the lack of resources but
always a lack of resourcefulness. The internet is an enormous
resource, we can connect to almost anyone and we have un-
limited information at our disposal.
We may live in a small country, but our Island has a pow-
erful high quality brand behind it that is great for business.
4.) What in your opinion are some of the main differences
between millennials and previous generations as it relates to
business? (The response)
Obviously, our generation has an enormous advantage
due to the proximity that we have to technology, we are the
first generation that was born or almost born into it. If I was
new into business, I would start a social media or online web
agency targeting the older generation of business owners. In
fact, this is exactly what Villabound.com does, we noticed that
the demographic in regard to the ownership of luxury homes
was/is the older generation (baby boomers) and the market
exists to deliver the online services required for those homes
to be successful in the industry.
5.) Fun lightning round:
Coke or Sprite, Hunter or gatherer, favourite Caribbean
sweet treat, Facebook or Instagram. Coke, Gatherer, Ting,

6.) What has running your business taught you about life?
