irginia Toledo’s
client was well
into decorating
her “modern
chateau” in Short
Hills when she
came to Toledo Geller Interiors
in Englewood and decided to
hire the designer — and not a
moment too soon, says Toledo.
“She found us because she tried
on her own,” she says. “She’d
even gone to High Point, North
Carolina [the location of many
home furnishing manufactur-
ers] on her own, but realized
it was above her pay grade.”
Toledo used the client’s repeated
admiration for renowned design-
ers Angelo Donghia and Holly
Hunt to guide her style choices.
(Right) This view from the entry-
way looks onto the dramatic
library where the entrepreneur-
ial husband frequently works.
(Opposite) The view from the
library into the dining room is
equally impressive. “The archway
serves as a picture frame,”
she says.
