The condominium is roughly 4,000-square-feet and has four bedrooms and 4 ½ baths. Although the unit came nicely appointed and with good bones, it lacked personality. One of the first things Haya did when they moved in was contact South Beach designer Steven Zelman to make the space reflect her personality.“ I’ m not very domestic,” she explains.“ Steven understood what I wanted – masculine energy in a feminine way.”
Construction took approximately eight months. The family lived in the residence during that time. Working together, Haya and Zelman chose to use reclaimed wood throughout the unit to add warmth and“ wow” factor to every room. Zelman designed the kitchen’ s backsplash and chose the industrial light fixtures over the island.
