A STYLISH NIGHT’S SLEEP
The new master bedroom features built-in storage, a seating area and Hollywood-
esque closets. As part of the addition, the couple was able to create the dream
space they’ve always wanted. A majority of the hardwood floors throughout are new
(excluding the staircase and guest bedroom) and match the flooring in the addition.
They chose dark stained oak for its modernity and fresh feel and paired it with white
trim and a soft color palette. Debra enjoys perusing design blogs and gets most of
her inspiration from House Beautiful, Elle Décor and Architectural Digest. She saw
something similar to the Tibetan lamb bench at the end of the bed in one of the
magazines and bought the skin herself and made the bench with John. The piece
cost about $500 and serves as a fantastic focal point in the room.
