Chapter 35 Survivors ’ and Dependents ’ Educational Assistance Program ( DEA ) https :// www . va . gov / education / survivor-dependent-benefits / Available to eligible dependents of a veteran who died in service or is totally & permanently disabled as a result of service .
Chapter 35 , 30 , 1606 reimburses the veteran or dependent through monthly allowance payments that are sent directly to the bank account provided on their VA Educational Benefit application . IT DOES NOT pay for tuition , fees associated with tuition ( including but not limited to lab fees ), parking decal and books . It is the responsibility of the veteran or dependent to pay for their tuition and fees on time and / or make pre-arranged payment options with the EFSC Cashier ’ s office to prevent being dropped from their courses .
