COMPANY’S EMPLOYEE-FUNDED
FOUNDATION RAISES $6 MILLION FOR
VETERANS IN NEED
Enhancing lives is what we strive
for daily as employees of Veterans
United Home Loans.
Beyond being supportive of our
colleagues, compassionate toward our
customers and loyal to our business,
each one of us takes pride in our
ability to give back. In 2010 alone, the
company and its employees donated
more than $550,000 to charitable
organizations and causes across the
country, from military charities and
scholarship programs to the United
Way of America.
But we wanted to do more. So, in
late 2011, we established the Veterans
20
Colorado Springs Homebuyer
United Foundation, funded exclusively
by employee contributions and
matching company donations.
The Veterans United Foundation
is committed to enhancing the lives
of veterans and military families
nationwide. The foundation supports
nonprofit organizations that
strengthen local communities and
honor the sacrifices of those who
served our country. We also provide
individual donations to current and
former military members in need.
Since creating the foundation,
employees and the executive
leadership of Veterans United Home

Loans have collectively donated more
than $6 million.
The foundation already supports
a host of nonprofit organizations
and veterans groups, from Operation
Homefront and the American Freedom
Foundation to Paralyzed Veterans of
America and Hire Heroes USA.
But we also search for and solicit
stories of veterans in need and provide
individualized donations.
