For thirty years, Falvey Insurance Group has been a foundation of Rhode Island’ s insurance landscape, specializing in cargo, logistics, and marine pollution coverage. Founded by Executive Chairman Mike Falvey with a vision to provide comprehensive and tailored insurance solutions, the company has grown from a two-person operation to a trusted partner for brokers and clients worldwide. Today, that vision is carried forward by CEO Jack Falvey, who stepped into the role in early 2025 after previously serving as COO.

30 Years Strong— and Just Getting Started
Headquartered in North Kingstown, Falvey provides supply chain insurance coverages, including Cargo & Stock Throughput— Falvey is the largest cargo coverholder in the Lloyd’ s market— Inland Marine, Transportation & Logistics Liability, and specialty brokerage solutions. Falvey also insures over 50 % of U. S. commercial vessels under its Safe Harbor vessel pollution insurance policy. All supported by value-added services like risk management and in-house claims at no extra cost, Falvey is ahead of industry trends, helping partners navigate emerging risks with confidence.

FOUNDING & EARLY GROWTH( 1995 – 1999)
• Business plan developed by founder Mike Falvey( 1995).
• Lloyd’ s of London signs first cover note.
• Falvey Cargo Underwriting officially opens with 2 employees and writes first account.
• By 1999, company grows to 10 employees and hosts the first Falvey Cup golf event.
DIVERSIFICATION & GROUP FORMATION( 2010 – 2015)
• Falvey Insurance Group formed( 2011).
• Safe Harbor Pollution Insurance launched; 50 employees milestone( 2013).
• 20 th anniversary; company reaches 75 employees( 2015).
NEW SOLUTIONS, LEADERSHIP TRANSITION & 30 TH ANNIVERSARY( 2022 – 2025)
• Launch of Transportation & Logistics Liability( 2022), Specialty Brokerage Team( 2022) and Inland Marine( 2023).
• Consolidation under single brand: Falvey Insurance Group( 2023).
• Company reaches 200 employees; succession announced with Jack Falvey as next CEO( 2024).
• 30th anniversary celebrated( 2025).
ESTABLISHMENT & EXPANSION( 2000 – 2009) INDUSTRY RECOGNITION & CONTINUED GROWTH( 2016 – 2021)
• Falvey Insurance Company Limited created( 2002).
• 10 th anniversary celebrated; company reaches 25 employees( 2005).
• Falvey Shippers Insurance formed( 2009).
• 25th anniversary; 90 employees( 2020).
• Named MGA of the Year by Insurance Insider( 2020).
• Company reaches 100 employees( 2021).
