I have had a question brought upon me about a couple in the Athens. They are disobeying her father.
Egeus asks, what should I do about my daughter whom has disobeyed me and turned the Duke against me? Should I disown her or punish her?
Well Mr. Egeus the first mistake that you made was that you tried to force your daughter to marry the person you wanted even though she loved someone else. Your daughter is clearly in love with another man but forcing your choice on her made her mad and frustrated. Egeus you are her father and you have to support her decisions so that you can gain her trust and maybe she will begin to let you lead her way like before.
