I look all around too observe the world that surrounds me. Some stuff I haven’t seen before I wonder about these things and wonder and wonder. We look around some more to see if we can find any kind of civilization. It gets night very fast the darkness comes over us like a big blanket covering us all, full of depress but a hint of hope. I make a tiny fire to make us through the night. We cook up some of the food we saved from the weather the next day will be rough for us, but it’s the only option for us to do.
I wake up feeling the cold air rolling along my back sending shivers to me. We all wake up and start to move on; for 4 hours we walk and walk until we hear a sound! I look around to see if we were in danger but around the humid hot forest there is a village. I notice something about these people. They’re appearances looked different than ours. My dad walks up to the people and explains what happened back in our city. “Our city has been destroyed, tornadoes all around us; we were the only survivors” he says with a trembling voice. “Please help us!” my mother said. I look upon my sister’s face and can see the worriedness in her. A very tall man with markings all over his face bumps and bruises and scars.
“You must LEAVE you are not welcome here!” the odd man says. “We do not have anywhere else to go, please … help us!” dad says.” You come from a horrible place, made by a horrible master!!” says the man.
“The master has died!” I say fearfully. “The whole place is now a bunch of rubble”. The man observes us carefully like animals. “Well than, please forgive me of my anger; but bad things had happened in that horrible place.” We all enter the village observing everything that surrounds us. I notice the people they’re different, they all look happy and joyful that they’re here. The man directs us to a building that was big and tall. I enter the building fining more and more smiles and laughter of everywhere. I wonder what they are so happy about thinking of the last time I was happy.
“Here you will stay, my name is Tunnikiwi” He said. “Tomorrow you will start your new lives with us, that’s if you’d like?”. “Thank you Tunnikiwi, we accept your offer and are very thankful we will never forget the favor.” After a long nap we all woke up and got out of bed. Usually we would go to work but this time it was different. We just enjoyed our morning happy that we were alive. We all looked outside for a long period of time wondering how we made it.
How sometimes life is a big obstacle course or sometimes miserable; to that day my family always believed in happiness,
Happiness is key.
