After about a good 20 minutes of pushing, the baby came out. His name was Ivan Guadalupe Esqueda Rodriguez. Born on December 10, 2013 at 2:18 am. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces, and was 20 ½ inches tall. We all thought that the baby was going to be skinny and small, like the dad, but he was far from that. He looked just like his dad, but he also had some resemblance to other family members. He had green eyes like one of my uncles. My mom also said that he has big eyes, like me.

“No wonder your ribs hurt so much. Where did you have the room to put such a big baby?” My mom said.

“I don’t know.” Lorena said.

We got 30 minutes to stay in the room until the doctor took the baby so she could give him shots and all, then we had to leave. We left, but we had the joy of having a new family member with us.
