Summer Assignments
US students . Our goal is for your child to have experienced God in a deeper way , growing his or her desire to read the Bible and spend time in prayer .
May Reminders
-Friday , May 10 : Eighth Grade Crossover , 5:30-7 p . m ., SDC Please drop your student off at the SDC no later than 5 p . m . All students will report to the Black Box �eater . We will have light hors d ' oeuvres available in the SDC Lobby for parents and guests . �e ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p . m .
�e ceremony will last approximately 90 minutes , so we encourage families to make dinner plans for a�er the program . We will not serve a meal to the students beforehand , but we will have snacks available . �is is a dressy event . We are asking students to wear appropriate celebration attire . Boys will need to wear a tie ( sports coat optional ). Girls may wear any dress , but a strapless or spaghetti strapped dress will require a sweater or shrug for the event . Please be respectful of the dress length and modesty as the students will be seated on the elevated stage . We will have a slideshow of each student during the ceremony . If you have not already , please send a younger photo of your child and a current one to ansley . boatman @ cpalions . org .
-Monday , May 6 : MS Awards Day , Sanctuary ( CPC building ), 1:30 p . m . �e ceremony will take place Monday , May 6 , at 1:30 p . m . in the CPC Sanctuary . If your student is receiving an individual award , you have been contacted directly via email from MS Administration .
-Friday , May 10 : Sixth Grade Spring Fling , 9:30 a . m . On Friday , May 10 , from 9:30 a . m . - 1 p . m ., we are having our annual Sixth Grade Spring Fling event . We hope all students will be able to attend . Spring Fling will be held at Edwin Warner Park - Area # 10 . Transportation will not be provided , so please plan to drive your student to and from the event . In the event of rain , the location will be moved to the Breezeway on campus , and we will dismiss early . �e dress code for the day will be casual - shorts are permitted . Lunch is Stroud ’ s BBQ . Click here to reserve a meal . Please plan to pick up your child by 1 p . m .
-Monday , May 20 - Wednesday , May 22 : MS Exams Optional review sessions will be offered to students needing help before the exams . Review sessions are not a social event . More information will be coming soon from your classroom teachers about how to sign up for review sessions .

Summer Assignments
Summer reading and math assignments will be posted on MyCPA before the end of school . �ese assignments are designed to provide students with choice-based opportunities to stay refreshed on grade level content and skills . Students will be given instructions about the expectations of their summer learning assignments in their math and English classes .
