Συνταγές της Μέσης Ανατολής
INTRODUCTION

In 2018 ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth as implementing
partner of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), has undertaken the implementation of
protection actions for the refugee population hosted in Diavata Open Centre of
Temporary Reception and at the Open Accommodation Facilities in Epirus (Doliana,
Filipiada, Katsikas – Ioannina). These actions and services are provided under the
project “Support to refugees and migrants in Greece through an integrated multi-
sector response” funded by the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian
Aid (ECHO).

ARSIS social intervention teams both in Diavata and in Epirus, with the
support of ASB, are providing the following services to the hosted refugee population:
• Social Services (psychosocial support, multi-level management of SGBV cases,
child protection services, protection monitoring, escorts to hospitals and public
services, issuance of Social Security Number (ΑΜΚΑ), Tax Registration Number,
unemployment card, career advising)
• Legal Aid
• Pedagogical activities and creative workshops that enhance various social and
personal dexterities for children, young people and adults
• Recreational outings and visits to museums, theatrical performances, cultural
events, etc. Cultural, recreational and sports activities for the PoCs leisure time
inside and outside the hosting facilities
• Distributions of NFIs and of personal hygiene and baby items to the general
population
