SERVING NEWBURGH AND NEW WINDSOR
Crystal Lake – a piece of Newburgh’s glorious past – is ready for a comeback
Abused and trashed for years, once
glorious 12-acre Crystal Lake is back
from being a blighted, forgotten corner of
Newburgh’s past.
To mark the makeover of what is now a
marvelous place to relax and study nature
– especially up a trail for a stunning
view of the Hudson River Gorge and
mountains – there will be a June 16, 10
a.m. Crystal Lake ribbon cutting from 10
a.m. to noon at the lake.
A hike is also planned June 16 – so wear
hiking shoes.
Scenic Hudson will provide free shuttle
service to Crystal Lake at 9:45 a.m. at the
corner of Grand Street and Broadway
