New John Deere 4940 with MultApplier Hopper Coming to Mid-County
When spring arrives, Mid-County Agronomy will be in the field serving customers with additional technology. A John Deere 4940 with a New Leader multi-compartment box will be joining the lineup of equipment available to serve our ag customers. The decision to make this purchase started this past spring when we were talking with customers about new innovations that would help them improve efficiencies and increase profits. This unit will come with the latest advancements in multi-bin variable rate technology( VRT). The equipment gives you the flexibility to have us spread fertilizer before the crop is planted up through side dressing the early stages of growth. Give us a call to discuss the details of the system and how we can help you in 2013.

Doesn’ t it seem like we’ re always running out of one or the other, or worse yet, both of them at same time! I started pumping gas at a service station part time while in High School and this was always a busy time of the year back in the shop. Everyone was getting ready for winter by changing to winter weight oil and putting their snow tires on. Some of you may remember you had to change your engine oil to a lighter weight during the winter months in those days so the engine would be able to crank over on the cold days. And if you had a manual transmission in your vehicle you might have had to change to a lighter grease in the transmission or you couldn’ t move the shifter to change gears once the cold weather set in.
Of course once it was spring again you’ d have to put summer weight oils back in again or they would be too light when it got hot out. Technology sure has brought us a long way hasn’ t it? Multi-weight oils and greases were one of the first big changes to make our life simpler. These multi weight lubes meant we weren’ t changing oils except for maybe the coldest of months. Each year technology has improved our vehicle lubrication needs. What we used to use in the winter months now works all year round and our oil change intervals seem to decrease every year. That’ s all fine and good, but how does that save me time and money? With the advent of synthetic oils we now can stretch out oil change intervals even farther than ever dreamt of when I pumped my first gallon of 29.9 cent / gallon gas during high school! Yes synthetic oils cost more, but using
AUTO & TIRE CENTER
synthetic oil means you can skip an oil change compared to using conventional oils by going from a 3,000 mile oil change interval to a
6,000 mile interval. Saving you both time and money. Consider using synthetic oil for your next oil change and skip an oil change! If you are not sure it’ s right for you, stop by at the shop and we’ ll see what works best. Remember, our regular CENEX Autogold series of oil is already a synthetic blend giving you a step up on our competition. If you haven’ t checked your anti-freeze strength or tire pressure since the weather has cooled down, stop by the shop and we will gladly check it for you at no charge.
