Winterize your diesel engine
FUEL
Take charge of your fuel storage before Father Winter does it for you.
In the heart of winter, you need a fuel that delivers power and performance. Cenex Wintermaster Winterized Premium Diesel Fuel is an advanced fuel developed exclusively for northern climates and harsh winter extremes. Wintermaster allows diesel-powered equipment to operate under extremely cold conditions and provides improved protection of vital engine parts.
Wintermaster provides:
• Superior low temperature operability, as low as – 35 ° F.
• Improved fuel economy and performance up to 5 % over typical winter blends.
• High cetane for quicker, more fuel-efficient starts.
• Aggressive detergents that clean the fuel system and maintain clean injectors for optimum engine performance.

• Superior lubricity for longer injector and pump life.
• Fuel stabilizers to reduce gum and varnish build-up.
• De-icers and demulsifiers to reduce moisture-related problems. Other winterized fuels don’ t measure up to Wintermaster. Many winterized diesel fuels rely on Cold Filter Plugging Point( CFPP) additives and high levels of No. 1 diesel( kerosene) for cold weather operability. The disadvantage is that No. 1 has less power and lower lubricity than other
diesel fuels. Backed by the Total Protection
Plan TM Warranty Since Wintermaster uses the same formulated balanced additive package that is used in Ruby Fieldmaster TM Premium Ag Diesel Fuel, it qualifies for the Total Protection Plan Warranty, which covers your new equipment for 10 years or 10,000 hours and used equipment for 8 years or 8,000 hours.
Whether you travel the open road or work in the field, Wintermaster provides the performance and power you need in the heart of winter. So be prepared for the next Arctic blast and fuel up with Wintermaster. For more information, stop by and talk to Raf at( 952) 466-3725 or Quay at( 952) 466-3727.
Home heating and the cold weather rule

I have been asked several times in the last couple of weeks about the“ Cold Weather Rule”( CWR) and how it relates to home heating. The CWR applies to utilities that are hard connected to a residence and energy is provided through the connection, such electricity, natural gas and municipal steam. The rule states that such providers cannot curtail the supply of energy for heating purposes during the normal heating season even if the customer is delinquent in payment. Providers of heating oil and propane are exempted from this rule and can refuse delivery if account is past due. The logic is that the hard connected customers are captive and have no alternative supplier whereas heating oil and propane customers have choices if a particular supplier refuses to deliver. If you or someone you know may have trouble with their heating bills this season there may be assistance available. Please contact your county’ s energy assistance program at the number below for further information.
