Italian mayors are making sure people follow lockdowns. In Italy there are over 80,000 infections and 8,215 deaths and the country is lockdown since the first days of March. But some people do not follow the rules and they go out without a good reason. For instance, in Bari, mayor Decaro has locked all the parks and he goes in the streets to say people to come back home. A video of our Mayor appeared in the web showing Decaro who was crying while walking in the city-centre because he was sad about the situation. Another video showed Decaro who reproved some people who screamed out local policemen. Mayor said to respect one meter distance and all the rules, otherwise he would close everything!

Italy is one of the countries most affected by Covid-19. We must stay ay home but not every Italian is following the rules, some people are in the streets without a good reson and that’s why many majors are angry. They say that we need to stay at home because people are dying.
Italy’s Prime Minister said “Everyone’s efforts are needed”.
A positive thing about Italian people is that they started the famous trend of singing from their balconies and I do it, too!

Italians are blocked, there are many deaths but not all Italians are respecting the rules so many majors are scolding people that are in the streets with no valid reasons. The majors are trying in every way to make people understand the seriousness of the situation, also the Italian first Minister said that efforts are needed to defeat this virus. A lot of people are doing their best anyway. Everything will be fine!

The situation in Italy because of COVID-19 virus is the worst in the world. Many people are infected and many others have died. It is important that people stay at home and go out only with a good reason. The mayor of my city, Mr. Antonio Decaro, went to the park “2 Giugno”, then on the waterfront and also in some markets to recommend people to respect the rules of staying at home because it is the only way to stop the infection.
