What do students think about closing schools?

Hello guys today I'm here to talk to you about the closure of schools in Italy. I very much agree with Prime Minister Conte regarding the closure because if the schools had remained open, now there would be at least double the number of infections because children and teachers would have moved. We would be in a much bigger health crisis than we are now.

I don't know when they will open schools again but I hope as soon as possible because I can't wait to meet my teachers and my friends.

Many countries have closed their schools because of the pandemic. Parents are worried about the school closure. Grandparents look after many children while many parents go to work. However, many children have no grandparents or extended family who live nearby. The government said it would urge public services and private companies to make it easier for people to take time off work to look after their children.

I think that the closing of school is important because we must limite the spread of covid-19. We must do small actions and we will be united and winning.

I think the closure of schools in my country is a very good thing because schools are very crowded and the virus here is really dangerous. The coronavirus is dangerous because it passes with contact, so in a big crowded school the contagion is really easy. Staying at home is the best thing to do for our health and for other people’s health. I’m really proud of our mayor Decaro: he goes around the streets of Bari telling people they must stay at home and not walk outside. When the situation was really critical, somebody was walking and taking appetizer in bars and it wasn’t right for all the people forced at home, so thank you very much mayor! We won’t forget what you are doing for us!

In Italy since March 5th all the students have stopped going to school because of the Coronavirus. Our Government wants to protect children from Covid-19 and I agree with this decision. In a short time everything has changed but this monster called Covid-19 perhaps will leave in our hearts the hope of a better life.
