oul S Food for Mi Oak on the Green Bearsted I magine parking up in a restaurant car park, feet crunching on the gravel as you step up to the building, and having the most amazing smells venture outside to find and draw you in. The excitement is already built up by this point and anticipation is at an all-time high… this is what our experience of going to the Oak on the Green is like. You step inside and feel the comforting darkness envelop you as your eyes adjust to the rustic, homely and welcoming surroundings. There is a buzz of chatter and you are drawn into the ambience of this extremely popular Kent Eatery. The staff are friendly and engaging, and all seem happy in what they do. The menu in our opinion is cooked to an amazing standard – if only we could cook like this!! There is a varied menu of differing cuisines. The portions are very generous, but ultra-tasty and comforting. Our “taste-sensation” of the day was the Very Cheeseburger with the creamed spinach (not for all, I am sure, but we like to try these things out!) The only negative (if one) is that you know you are full, but you cannot stop eating the deliciousness…!
