After re-hydrating at half, the Swick Tech surge hit the field with strong help from Bruiser at midfield to relay the ball. The Terrors were doing their usual terrorizing of the Raven’s defense, and they would have had a goal too, if it weren’t for the efforts of Bobblehead with an exceptional catch in goal to keep the Comfort Keepers safe. Pop-up was right there to back up here goalie too with a great block on Pickles, and she continued to hunt down and clear any loose balls in sight.
A final Comfort Keepers goal would ensure them victory after last week’s loss to the Terrors. More hydrating and some much-enjoyed snacking ensued shortly after by all, as all the kids got a visit from club leader, Dave Olson. Dave took the opportunity for a little show-and-tell as he passed around the NACB Men’s Junior C championship trophy and talked about the winning history of our club. Of course he also reminded them that our first goal is to have fun and enjoy the sport of hurling!
